Terms Of Carriage

Octroi

Wherever octroi is applicable, we obtain expeditious clearance from the octroi authorities for the consignments and this will be recovered from the consignee along with 5 per cent octroi service charges before effecting delivery. We will not be responsible for any dispute arising due to the rate of octroi charged by the octroi authorities.

Cash on Delivery (COD)

This is a premium product which gives clients the choice of shipping their consignments from either their office or factory to the consignee’s delivery locations.

Consignment Value Collect (CVC)

The consignor sends all consignments with the value of the consignment payable by the consignee on delivery. The COD facility can be availed of along with the CVC charges.

Demurrage

In case the cargo is not accepted by the consignee within 4 days from the date of arrival at the destination, demurrage at the rate of 1 per cent of the declared value of the cargo or Re 1 on the charged weight of the cargo, whichever is higher, is levied.

Damages

If the cargo is booked on “Owner’s Risk” basis, the liability of the company is restricted to issuing a Certificate Of Fact (COF) only. Any damage or pilferage should be marked on the acknowledgment copy of the CD as well as on the delivery challan of the company. Open Delivery will not be made if the external condition of the cargo is good.

Freight On Value (FOV)

Carrier Risk: 2 per cent of the declared value of the cargo will be charged.
Owner Risk: 0.2 per cent of the declared value of the cargo will be charged.

Chargeable Weight

Chargeable Weight would be the actuals or volumetric weight whichever is higher, rounded off to the next one kg. The volumetric weight in kilograms can be calculated as follows:

Air/Multimodal = Length * Breadth * Height
------------------------------
6000 (Cubic Centimeters)

Surface = Length * Breadth * Height
-----------------------------
4000 (Cubic Centimeters)

Documentation

The consignor has to provide authentic documents required for the smooth passage of the cargo. A ready reckoner is provided for all documents required in different states.

The following charges are payable over and above the charges mentioned above:

FOV Charges (Ins) Consignor	-> 0.2 per cent

Octroi Collection Charges (Consignee)	-> 5 per cent on octroi amount
Octroi Collection Charges (Consignor)	-> 3 per cent octroi amount
Service Tax	-> 5 per cent extra
